Would you like to join our team? We're an independent UK plastics manufacturer and we’re hiring a junior production R&D engineer at our site in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Junior R&D engineer role

This is a hands-on role working closely with the production, quality and technical sales teams. A typical day can be varied but is likely to include:

• Process reviews, tooling breakdowns, trouble-shooting and process issues

• Development and machining of bespoke tooling

• Continual product and process improvement alongside the Senior R&D Engineer

• Maintenance and creation of works instructions and QC requirements

• Development of new products to our customers’ drawings including tooling, proving out the process and samples and record keeping at each stage.

• Working with the customer service team on a technical level, customer and site visits as required.

• Creation and implementation of lean manufacturing processes

• Problem solving

• General production during training to understand our processes and how fluoroplastics perform

• Health and safety reviews, risk assessments and process safety
