With value-added services, you can create bespoke fluoropolymer tubing profiles that fit your applications precisely and save you time and money. Offering even more design possibilities, custom tubing is manufactured specifically to your precise design requirements.
Here at Adtech, we can convert any fluoroplastic tubes to create custom tubing profiles that meet your exact requirements. We offer a quick turnaround on value-added services, thanks to our rapid fabrication processes. Small production batches are possible and viable, as no large minimum extrusion quantity is required on stock sizes.
Virtually any size of PTFE, FEP and PFA tube can be extruded from 0.1mm diameter to 150mm diameter (dependant on the material). The microbore UT range has inside diameters from 0.2mm to 1.5mm, with a very thin wall of 0.1mm. Fluoropolymer tubing can also be made to order with tighter tolerances for medical, electronic and instrumentation applications.
PTFE, FEP and PFA tubing can be supplied cut to any length and in any quantity. The cutting machine can cut tubes to a minimum length of 2mm and up to a maximum ID of 12mm. Larger ID’s can be cut at the extrusion factory. Ready cut tubing can be provided to varying lengths and supplied packed in your required batch quantities. This cutting service applies to the fluoroplastic tubing in stock as well as any free issue materials. Find out more about Ready Cut Tubing.
A selection of PTFE and PFA tubing sizes is available as FDA, EU 10/2011 and NSF compliant. A selection of FEP tubing sizes is also available as FDA and NSF compliant.
PTFE, FEP and PFA tubing can be made to order in 14 different colours, including black tube, and with coloured stripes. The pigmentation has no significant impact on the technical properties of the fluoroplastic tubing.
Despite fluoropolymers having an extremely low coefficient of friction, the material can wear quite easily. Standard fillers can be added to the fluoroplastic tubing during the extrusion process to change the tubing characteristics and aid with thermal conductivity, wear resistance and anti-static properties without greatly affecting the lubricious surface. Find out more about Filled Tubing.
Convoluted PTFE tube is available in standard sizes, from 1.50mm to 37mm ID, with standard or light wall grades, and smooth bore or anti-static properties. Corrugated tubing can be supplied cut to specific lengths, together with either straightened, cuffed or flanged ends for easy connection. Custom made corrugated tubing can also be produced to order. Find out more about Convoluted PTFE Tubing.
Retractable coils can be made from FEP, PTFE and PFA tubing and are ideal for pharmaceutical and food delivery systems. Other polymers are available but would be subject to a minimum order quantity. Bespoke sizes can be made, and specialist fittings can be applied to meet the demands of your application. Find out more about Retractable Coils.
Tubing assemblies apply custom fittings to PTFE, FEP and PFA tubes. A wide range of fittings can be sourced. The fitting can be joined to the fluoropolymer tubing by adding a flange, collar or flare, or a flangeless fitting with a stop end can be applied. Find out more about Tubing Assemblies.
Tips, collars and flanges can be applied to PTFE, FEP and PFA tubes, and can be made to your exact requirements. Fittings can be applied and are secured in place by a flange, which also aids with sealing. Collars can prevent parts pulling out of equipment. Reduced and tapered tips can aid with liquid flow. Find out more about Tipping & Flanging.
Very specific tip profiles can be produced for applications where smoothness, clarity and thickness are critical to the performance of the device. FEP and PFA tubes can be re-formed to a solid or hemispherical tip where the wall thickness remains a consistent size over the whole tip area. This service is available on fluoropolymer tubes in stock and bespoke sizes can be made to order. Find out more about Welding & Sealing.
Fluoroplastics are known for their non-stick properties. Through chemical etching, the surface of fluoropolymer material can be altered to remove its non-stick characteristics, which enables it to be easily and safely bonded together with other materials. The surface of PTFE, FEP, PFA, PVDF, E-CTFE, ETFE and other fluoroplastic tubing can be chemically etched. Find out more about Chemical Etching.
